The 2023 Ford Escape has a bold new look, featuring an eye-catching front fascia, sleek lines, and a redesigned rear end. The improved Ford Escape includes all-new driver-assistance systems, an updated infotainment system and more. The SUV features seven trim levels: Base, Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, Platinum and Plug-In Hybrid.

Performance

SUV drivers can choose between the new Escape's two engine options. The standard engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that delivers 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Both engines feature a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and an available all-wheel-drive system.

The Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system in the 2023 Escape is equipped with an all-wheel-drive disconnect feature. This system automatically switches between front- and all-wheel drive depending on road conditions to optimize traction, stability and fuel efficiency.

Interior

The new Ford Escape is equipped with the latest version of Sync, which uses machine learning to provide a smarter, more personalized experience. The system allows drivers to access navigation, climate control settings and more using voice commands or touch controls on the 8.0-inch touchscreen display.

The new Ford Escape also comes with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing you to stay connected as you drive around town. The 2023 Escape features intelligent access with push button start, allowing drivers to unlock and start the vehicle without using their keys.

For drivers who want an even more luxurious interior, the 2023 Ford Escape offers ActiveX™ leather-trimmed seating. This material is designed to be durable and long-lasting while also feeling soft and supple against your skin.

Safety

The new Escape has automated emergency braking, which uses sensors to detect an impending collision and apply the brakes if necessary. The system helps reduce the severity of a crash, and it can even sometimes avoid the accident altogether.

The Escape also comes with a lane-keeping system that can alert you if it detects you drift out of your lane. You'll also have an adaptive cruise control feature, which uses advanced radar to maintain a set speed and distance from preceding vehicles on the road.
